Extremists?

martin-luther-king-and-malcolm-x

Didn't you think they were enemies? The haters only led us to believe that.

Now is the time to step up.

By this time in November the playing field is going to look entirely different. The amount of people looking for answers and direction is going to exponentially increase between now and then. The creation of communities is vital for the benefit of your friends and loved ones who are going to be confused and in some ways at a loss.

DM’s minions are stepping up on me pursuant to their boss’ inability to evaluate. It is all “over there”, being created by the “kingpin.” Kingpin must go down. Even the choice of moniker is telling. From the dark depths of a criminal mind DM wants to believe we are some hierarchical mafia outfit with similar intentions and motivations to his own. If only one missile really lands on target, it is back to business as usual so he thinks.

The beauty of community, as opposed to strict hierarchy, is that anyone, me included, can go down and it doesn’t put a dent in the cause. And wrong target as an SP will, DM is banking on taking me out. It will only get more intensely wrong targeted over the next few weeks. Of that I am certain.

There are whispering campaigns (right out of PR Series 18) starting up in our midst date coincident with talk of forming communities. I am going to quote again a short passage from Malcolm X on the subject of such Black propaganda camaigns as it is more relevant today than ever:

“One of the best ways to safeguard yourself from being deceived is always to form the habit of looking at things for yourself, listening to things for yourself, thinking for yourself, before you try and come to any judgment. Never base your impression on someone on what someone else has said. Or upon what someone else has written. Or what you read about someone that somebody else has written. Or upon what you read about someone that somebody else wrote. Never base your judgment on things like that. Especially in this kind of country and in this kind of society which has mastered the art of very deceitfuly painting people whom they don’t like in an image that they know you won’t like. So you end up hating your friends and loving their enemies.”

It is interesting that many Americans have come to dismiss wise words like these as having come from an “extremist.” Well, that is the term DM is now having applied to me. He’s got me up on his Religious Freedom Watch – thinly veiled front group – as an “extremist.” I’ve tried to contact Joel Phillips – the Kool-Aid drinker who operates the site – but he, like Miscavige, is avoiding me like the plague. Apparently, it is bunker mentality time.

But since he has settled on the term “extremist” after such brilliant lines as “lunatic”, “caveman”, and “thug with an e-meter” got no traction, let’s look a little more closely at the sobriquet. I am sure others doing their part will also soon be so labeled. So, what about this new label? Is it something we should defend against, something we should resist? Just what is an extremist? I found this passage from Martin Luther King’s Letter from an Alabama Jail Cell which had an impact on how I view this latest attack:

“…I have tried to say that this normal and healthy discontent can be channelized through the creative outlet of nonviolent direct action. Now this approach is being dismissed as extremist. I must admit that I was initially disappointed in being so categorized.

“But as I continued to think about the matter I gradually gained a bit of satisfaction from being considered an extremist. Was not Jesus an extremist in love — ‘Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.’ Was not Amos an extremist for justice – ‘Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.’ Was not Paul an extremist for the gospel of Jesus Christ — ‘I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.’ Was not Martin Luther an extremist – ‘Here I stand; I can do none other so help me God.’ Was not John Bunyan an extremist — ‘I will stay in jail to the end of my days before I make a butchery of my conscience.’ Was not Abraham Lincoln an extremist – ‘This nation cannot survive half slave and half free.’ Was not Thomas Jefferson an extremist – ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.’ So the question is not whether we will be extremists but what kind of extremist will we be. Will we be extremists for hate or will we be extremists for love? Will we be extremists for the preservation of injustice – or will we be extremists for the cause of justice?”

In my view the answers to both of the good Reverend’s two final rhetorical questions, in our case, are the latter. What do you think?

  1. LRH once came up with a positioning for Scientology as “with life and against death.” It’s funny to me how many former Int Base staff have stories about they were dead creatively, emotionally, even spiritually, until they left the Bast and how much more alive they became afterwards. And how alive the discussions on this blog and other sites are now. And how many people are rallying around this concept of community. And establishing networks of live communication. And rekindling purposes to make of Scientology what everyone knows what it should be without even having to describe it. We all understand each other perfectly in this regard. And more people are sharing this understanding day by day.

  2. I really think that this article is a very good for the purpose of evaluating our own intentions.

An SP “thinks” he his the only good person doing all for good.
But the actions are the one who tells us the real character of each one.

So the real proof of the rightness or wrongness of what we are doing is not what we INTEND TO DO but what we are ACHIEVING.

An SP does not achieve improved conditions around him.
Evaluate the results of the people around COB.
    Are they happy?
    Well informed?
    Winning?
    High Stats?
    Sane?
Allowed to have property? (of any kind)
Enforced to have? (things or actions they dont want)
    Blackmailed?
    Receiving good news constantly?
    Brave, winning, able?
    Right-targeted?

Remember, an SP does not need to have all marks to be one. Only the majority and if in doubt; look at his actions…

Even with that something can be gotten out as a decent product in scientology sometimes; as (even for an SP) it´s impossible to stop the good work of thousands of good SO and Org members around the globe.

    What are we achieving?
Revealed facts. Communicated at large. Letting anybody decide for his own.

Result: People informed. People able to SCS or carry on based on that. As-is of persistent doubts or contrary facts. FREE PEOPLE.

I also think that extremist is a moderate qualification for what we are doing. We are much more than that; because for our past products and background we can be a STABLE DATUM AND OL of those around us. We have enough ethics presence to have a lot of credibility and that was formed individually and through years of improved conditions for others. For me it is easy a cake to everyday wake up people and make them look.

    I don´t know about you but I didn’t get into SCN to be a long-time proven LIE-SUPPORTER.

A more accurate qualification for us would be (I don´t know in english) “MUY PINCHES ENCABRONADOS EXTREMISTS”

Who is the love extremist and who the hate one?

    • Roberto, thank you. There is no problem with being “muy pinches encabronados”. Here are the couple sentences that preceded the words I quoted from King: “If his repressed emotions do not come out in these nonviolent ways, they will come out in ominous expressions of violence. This is not a threat; it is a fact of history. So I have not said to my people ‘get rid of your discontent.’ But I have tried to say that this normal and healthy discontent can be channelized through the creative outlet of nonviolent direct action…” I share your feeling of “muy pinches encabronados”. I don’t think it is an inappropriate emotion. In DM land it is all about forced fixation on some false tone level. Out here – in real Scientology – it is ability to move up and down the tone scale with alacrity and ease, as appropriate. Estamos en la misma onda Amigo.

  3. Marty I wouldn’t worry about the agitprop what Joel has put up on that psyop he calls a website. I personally know you are a good person trying to do the right thing .

Okay if we’re “extremist” because we demand standard tech and an org that runs on correct policy then so be. In that case Ron was an “extremist” and therefore many of us here are “extremists”.

If you are labeled an “extremist” because you are trying to bring light to there once was darkness then wear the label proudly as a badge of honor.

A person can also be judged by his friends and his enemies.

As far as I’m concerned you will always be my friend and you have have an exquisite taste in enemies 🙂

  4. Yes, yes we are extremists. Its true and I confess willingly that such a label describe us completely IF after the term “extremist … ” you add “… for decency, humanity, real justice, freedom from oppression, self determinism and truth.”

  5. Marty; Of course we are extremists for love and for the cause of justice. That is what this is all about. We are extreme because we aren’t sheep. We are taking the extreme gamble; our eternity vs the eternity of every man, woman and child on this planet. We are waging war against years of suppressive reasonableness on our parts and the parts of the others who have been turned into sheep.

This is not just a war in which one could lose his life. This is a holy war in which every man, woman and child could lose their forever if we don’t take responsibility and step up the pressure.

  6. I too am listed on the RFW hate site as a religious extremist. My page went up after being contacted by my closest friend, Maureen O’Keefe, who works for OSA, and told that unless I stop posting and speaking out against Scn, that I would have the LRH policy on “handling critics of Scn” applied to me. The result was that they went to my work, took covert pictures of me and dug around and found my bankruptcy papers and posted them along with half/twisted truths.

This was my punishment for speaking out. This was an attempt to silence me.

I consider the hate page that RFW has on me as a badge of honor in speaking out against suppression of free speech and ideas.

LRH said in “Dept of Govt Affairs”, HCO Policy Letter of 15 Oct 1960.

“If attacked on some vulnerable point by anyone or anything or any organization, always find or manufacture enough threat against them to cause them to sue for peace.”

Apparently this is one of the LRH policy that DM and RFW are operating on.

    • Policy is nothing but a justification for creepy conduct. He always operated in that fashion. Order something destructive or non-survival or unethical, THEN, and ONLY then find some LRH writing (usually out of context) to justify it and get others more interested in carrying it out.

      • It’s true, a person could always find an LRH policy to justify their bad behavior rather than find a policy to support a more pro survival behavior.

I was one of those Scios that believed in ARC and communication, especially with those that I perceived as “enemies” of Scn. I used to do volunteer work for OSA invest and was originally sent to a.r.s. to check out s/g about the LMT Trust. Once there, I saw all these people talking about Scn! I joined in (anonymously) because I felt that thru Communication and ARC I could handle the critic scene by just telling the truth and educating them on Scn. Due to my Scn indoctrination I spouted all the lines that were drilled into me rather than actually communicate with my heart. Through the use of the data series, and pushing aside all feeling of “having to be right” I was able to start looking talking to critics about the church with a more critical eye and an understanding of their upsets with Scn.

I don’t have a problem with the policy or tech that helps a person build a better life for themselves. It’s the policy on handling any kind of criticism that I have a problem with. In a sane world, a person could write a KR and the situation would get fixed. In the current world, a KR is considered an attack, a criticism, and the person writing it has overts.

I don’t know why but the fanatics, whether they be Muslims, Christians or Scios are the dangerous ones and seem to be the ones that always get themselves in positions of power.

Your new Scn community will be interesting to watch. 🙂

      • Allen Stanfield

I first got onto the Internet as a loyal Scientologist, in order to more broadly disseminate Scientology.

Then I began to see all the points of controversy surrounding Scientology, and I stayed on the Internet because of a point in the Code of a Scientologist which says “Take responsibility for the impact of Scientology upon the world.”

I was told to stay off the Internet by RTC reps who wanted me to put a “Net Nanny” on my computer in the late 1990’s. When I brought up this point of the Code of a Scientologist, the RTC rep could only get all huffy, look at me like I was some kind of leech, and storm away.

I stayed on the Internet and soon found the overwhelming majority of stories of fraud and abuse within the Church to be true.

In the end, the ideals that got me into the Church of Scientology are the same ideals which got me out. Through all of this, my integrity has remained *fully* intact.

Call me an Extremist, call me an “SP”. I do not care.

If you are going to set up a church and attract people with ideals of freedom, you’d better be able to deliver some form of freedom to them. Otherwise, the very people you attracted with those ideals are going to be awful pissed, and awful vocal about it.

As Davey has found over the decades, these people are not going to be able to be shut up very easily, and they are not going to go away.

Marty, I hope your independent Scientologist movement grows and is able to get much closer to the ideals that Scientology was founded upon, and which has attracted so many very good people.

If that’s an “extremist” viewpoint, then count me in.

    • Hi Patty,
I think you wrote somewhere that OSA threatened you with applying “critics of Scientology” because of you posting? I am looking at leaving the church and want to know what to expect if I openly leave the church and post in my name what my experiences were.
      Thanks,
      Alex

      • Hi Alex,

Yes, the C of S wanted to know my identity as I was posting to the net anonymously and giving inside info. Gavino Idda, used threats and blackmail on a young woman, and got her to befriend me and find out my identity so they could apply the “handling of critics” policy on me. Once they found out my name, they put up a RFW page on me and attempted to smear me with bullshit.

It didn’t work. I love my RFW page and showed it to all my friends and family. I consider it a badge of honor.

If you come out and post under your own name now, I honestly don’t think much will happen other than the cult will attempt to use the disconnection policies to stop any friends or family you still have in, from talking to you.

I still believe that when there are more Scios publicly OUT of the church, and looking in, and discussing Scn openly, than there are still in, the then WAR IS OVER!

        😉

      • I wholeheartedly agree with Patty, plus Alex, you really must consider the advantages of disconnecting from suppressive individuals and groups. I think people are taking their life in their hands by remaining in bed with David Miscavige and the groups he has subverted to being henchmen and enforces of his squirrel and suppressive “command intention.”

I observed HUGE gains in my OT abilities, health and “luck.” Since I disconnected, everything good as come my way including love, moving up the Bridge, career wins, friendships, you name it! In short, all the power of Scientology came back to life across my dynamics. And I’ve seen the same kind of happy results in the lives of my friends who have followed the same path. Conversely, I’ve seen a lot of sickness and problems and financial disasters besetting those who remain in the “church.”

The Church today has been converted into a squirrel group over lorded by a suppressive who declares any real Scientologists as “SPs.” In that light, it’s a badge of honor to be declared by David Miscavige and his regime; something I think you’ll be proud of for years to come.

      • Allen Stanfield

        Hi Alex –

When I started posting what I really felt about all the suppression of rights that the Church was engaging in in 2001, OSA had me followed, sent in people to befriend me and pump me for information, had me fired from my job at a Scientologist-owned company, and hired private investigators to follow me across the country when I moved back to the cornfields from LA.

I had gotten all of my family into Scientology years earlier, and so when I got back home to Illinois, Chicago DSA Mary Ann Ahmad threatened every member of my family with declare if they should talk to me.

You can read my disconnection story at http://www.scientologydisconnection.com/disconnections.html.

BUT – that was back in 2000. Nowadays, OSA is so overwhelmed and understaffed that I doubt they can muster anything but covert threats to your friends and family who might still be under their control.

The thing to do is to make sure you don’t have anybody under their control before you make your move.

        Then – make your move!

Don’t live under the suppression of the Church of Scientology for one more day than you absolutely have to.

        And good luck to you.

  7. MissedGarbage Watcher

I had thought that Miscavige was well known as “extremist”.

    Actually he extremely goes out-tech, out-ethics, out-admin.

Our criterion is just based on LRH references.

I don’t think Marty extremely goes out of it,
but I’m sure Miscavige extremely goes out of it.

  8. Wonderfully written piece that makes my heart sing and my purpose soar!!!:)

  9. Allen Stanfield

The Christian Church embraced as its symbol the most profane instrument of torture which its enemies used to murder their Savior – the Crucifix.

So what’s a little label here and there?

The Church of Scientology has always used Dead Agent Tech like this in a pathetic attempt to discredit people who speak and write ideas that might threaten its income, or the unthinking, unquestioning loyalty of its customers.

The problem has always been that Dead Agent Tech has a way of losing its effectiveness once a Scientologist begins to trust himself enough to look at things with his own eyes, and to make his own self-determined decisions – independent of the Church “Party Line”.

    So Congratulations, Marty!

    Welcome to the club!

If they called you an SP, could you embrace it?

I, myself, have been begging for my very own SP Declare for about 9 years now, and they won’t give it to me. I have a frame for it, and a series of lights set up on my wall, waiting for the day when it finally arrives.

I think we all should be so lucky.

    • Allen, thanks. You know a lot of people have been demanding SP declares – initially so that they could address whatever the Church’s problem with them was. But this is a new level of squirreldom, the status of “in limbo.” It is the most uncomfortable and aberated place to be in, “indecision.” Keeps the sheep indecisive and, they think, in the pen. So, yeah, I’m with you. I made my decision.

  10. “Competition is a trick of the weak to fetter the strong.” – LRH

You can’t enslave freedom, no matter how hard you try. Your RFW page is nothing more than an admission thar “Scientology” in the hands of RTC “doesn’t work”.

If a suppressive group declares you suppressive, how does that add up? They can call me a martian for all I care, what really matters is truth, and increasing people’s capacity to percieve and ultimately create their own truths.

If that upsets some peoples lies, well, that’s too bad.

    Sounds like we are winning.

  11. DM’s entire op basis is slander and defamation. He did it to us freely at the Int base, where we had no recourse and no way to fight back. But today, there are powerful organizations ready, willing and able to make a stand for real human rights.

Thank god for our forefathers who’s bravery and wisdom in the face of servitude shines forth like a beacon to show us the way through.

  12. Miscavige or OSA, if the truth is on your side why don’t you get the whole group of us together and handle. If you have good answers to all the crimes and downstats brought up on this site, by all means handle us. Otherwise I’m moving on up the ethics gradients starting with putting my picture and name up here, in a couple days, if you don’t contact me.

  13. Marty – a little Sun-Tzu for you at this moment:

“One who knows when to fight and when not to fight will be victorious. One who recognizes how to employ large and small numbers will be victorious. One whose upper and lower ranks have the same desires will be victorious. One who, fully preparared awaits the unprepared, will be victorious. One, whose general is capable and not interfered with by the ruler will know victory.” Examine your lines against the above maxims and adjust as needed. More to come later, if desired.

  14. Concerned Citizen

For me it is rather simple, If being with them is right, if keeping silence after untold abuses and atrocities are committed in the name of one of the most decent groups ever is right, if lying and misspending funds entrusted is right, if protecting this man because he has achieved the ultimate coup is right, then please please please let me be WRONG!!!!!!

It is really all a matter of semantics, nothing else. And if you think about it, propaganda by redefinition of words. What these people don’t get is that we are NOT attacking Scientology, we are in fact defending it!

  15. Marty, I can certainly understand your desire to have your name taken off the Religious Freedom Watch website. And while I wish you the best in your efforts to do so, I also appreciate the massive footbullet the Church has fired in this case.

Certainly the statements on RFW are hysterical and wildly over the top in regards to the individuals they have listed as “anti-religious extremists.” In your case, however, they’ve taken them to a new level. Not only are obviously not an “anti-religious extremist” by any stretch of the imagination, but you’re not even anti-Scientology!!

Ironic, isn’t it, that the Church of Scientology admonished its members to carefully avoid reading the SP times, put out a special issue of Freedom Magazine that replaced your name with an insulting moniker so as to obscure your identity and now they put your name front and center on RFW. You actually couldn’t wish for them to act more stupidly.

  16. Bravo Marty, excellent post. Joel & RFW has been looooong overdue for propering harpooning of their unethical smear campaign BS. Here’s hoping your inspired to write moar in this vein.

And if its not too awkward of a question to answer, I’d be curious to know your initial reaction to seeing your RFW hate filled page & getting lumped in with the harsher critics? iow – as patty mentioned, was your newly awarded badge of honor expected?

And I say – let the CofS hate on you all they like, it will only speed up the inevitable downfall.

“Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man’s sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true. ” ~Martin Luther King Jr.
