Dave Miscavige and Dave Lubow, Lebow, or Lebeau

lebow

An old photo, but you get the idea

Dave Lebow of the infamous Las Vegas and Minton investigations fame (see SP Times Monday edition) is the perfect dramatization of the other Dave’s management style and case. He pitched up in Denver today. Was he going deep cover?  No. Was he doing some sophisticated investigation? No. He was attempting to terrorize Mike Rinder’s girl friend.

Yeah, like Tommy before him, Dave Lebow has been relegated to direct attempts to intimidate women.  Lebow tells Mike’s gal that he’s been staking out Mike’s apartment for days and sees no activity, he’d been surveilling her place and sees Mike’s car has been there but no sign of Mike. Lebow says he wants to know how to get hold of Mike, because “for god sakes, my photo is all over the St Petersburg Times.”  Dave is apparently livid at what he considers a terrible invasion of his privacy. Kettle…Pot…Black?

Dave told the woman he wanted to know how to get hold of Marty. Hey Dave, my email address is on my blog for tens of thousands to see and use daily. A photo of my freaking house is in your boss’s “Freedom” magazine.

Get a life.

  1. Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’…keep dem cameras rollin’. Except for the harrassement of Mike’s girl, this is hilarious! What do these guys think they’re pullin’..?

  2. Marty — he has my phone number and hasnt tried to call me. He is now going to other members of her family, telling them how he is desperate to speak to me to “straighten things out as it is hurting him and his son”. What is really hurting him is who he is working for. So, Dave, give me a call and I will give you some advice on how to get out of this problematic situation. And my phone does work even when I am out of the country.

    • Yeah, that’s what is hurtin’ him for certain. I admire your pan determined approach to this, but I hope you have your recorder with you, because his sympathy act holds no water. He’s out intimidating and attempting to drive wedges between you, her and the family.

      • Mike,
Of course he’s trying to run ‘sympathy’ to stir misemotion. Man, the dregs of the tone scale, efforts to restimulate, lies, and the range of debased conduct sure is ‘classic’ with DM’s li’l army.

      • Mary McConnell

Marty, I know this is not how OSA does things but I think it’s important that if you are going to advise someone publicly to record telephone conversations, that you at least asvise the person to make sure it’s legal or not to record in the state where they will be recording.

Ok Mary. Thank you, but don’t accept thank you unless you research whether it is legal to in your jursidiction.

      • lol, I was just trying to help cover some butt on the post of yours and alert you and Mike. DM will use ANYTHING you and Mike post against you both if he can, even if he has to TWIST it.

      • martyrathbun09

        Ok Mary, thanks.

    • Hi Mike!!
I have always admired your composure under fire and am glad to have you on our team!
What are your plans? At least ones that you can speak about.

    • I can only wish luck to Dave.

It seems to me they are messing with the wrong guys.

I can´t imagine anybody else used to deal with “special affairs” than…

      You and Marty.

      Roberto Sánchez

    • In 2001 and 2002, one of your juniors repeatedly called my 82 year old father and told him that his son was a criminal. This confused him and caused him much anguish in the months before he died.

OSA also called other members of my family and tried to get them to disconnect from me.

      It sucks, doesn’t it, Mike?

      • Alanzo,
I hope that you can get this out of your system, and move on. Maybe your ‘non-dualism’ needs more practice to view different views. This victim, motivator flow must be awful stretched by now.

My 80 year old father spoke to Marc Yaeger and listned to his gibberish. He told him, ‘bring it on, kid’. Never heard from Marc again.

      • Alanzo, I feel your pain. Scientology has hurt alot of families. I’ve started to blog my Scientology history and it’s been very difficult, yet revealing for my siblings as they felt they lost a brother. Funny thing, I always stayed in touch throughout my sea org and staff days, they just knew I’d changed. It’s nice now (thank God no family died) to be able to talk to them and share my experiences with them. I guess you can say I’ve gotten back my original case and I’m loving my relationships and life.

    • Hello Mike.

I want and need to talk to you for my own sake. Would you please email me at epgmbh@gmail.com so I can send you name, phone no. etc.

  3. Every day DM goes lower and lower. How low is he willing to go?

    • DM is already so low “he could put on a tall silk hat and walk under a duck” *.

  4. Mike

What’s next? Ding dong ditch? Soaped car windows. Thugs are simple creatures. They mistake fear for respect and always must have the last word.

The best revenge is success. May you flourish and prosper. You don’t owe anyone a damn thing. Be happy and enjoy the people in your life. You and Marty have astounding integrity.

And Marty I never thought I would ever want to reach for the tech again. Not in a billion years. But reading your words and knowing your path is creating those long forgotten stirrings. Maybe we can walk out of this place after all. (Or stick around and make it nicer.)

    Cheers gents

  5. Wow this guy Lubow, Lebow, Lebeau or whatever his real name is. Is sooooo blown 🙂

Photos and everything in a national newspaper. Man it doesn’t get any better than this!

I guess his undercover days are over!

Hey, Dave I guess it’s time to get a real job.

  6. Dont worry, the recorder is always at the ready. I figure the odds of him calling are 0 and 0, or he would have already called. His intention isnt to find out or try to resolve anythinjg — he is being paid to do a “noisy investigation”, and like Monique Yingling and others, he only cares aboujt the pay check. If he was concerned about keeping himself off the front page of the SP Times, he is certainly not going in the right direction. But then again, they dont seem to be thinking too straight these days.

    • Exactly, Mike. Monique Yingling has probably made several million dollars or more over the course of her work for the church. She could easily afford every service in Scientology several times over at Flag rates. Yet she’s never even done a Div 6 TR Course. She couldn’t care less about Scientolog so long as that billable hours meter keeps turning.

    • “(T)hey dont seem to be thinking too straight these days.”

No truer words were published Mike!

I betcha Monique is banking her head against the wall right now seeing one of her ace operatives become a front page poster child 🙂

    • Hey Mike,

Tell us a story of one of your shocking experiences with DM!
      Pretty please??!!

  7. Well, yet again by the book! DM is now orchestrating his own execution, after all, Man is basically good! (Is he really?)

  8. It’s almost like DM is trying to destroy Scientology. It’s hilarious to watch his efforts backfire time after time.

  9. Hey Lebow,

You never had any self-respect or integrity when you started taking order from CoS, especially David Miscavige. You should have thought of these days.
Remember, What goes around will come around Dave Lebow!

  10. What staggers my mind is that DM is so delusional that he forgets both Marty and Mike were for YEARS at the top of the investigative/PR etc game.

Does he think that they have somehow NOW gotten amnesia and forget just how that game is played. The beauty is … they are now turning those same skills TO EXPOSE DM – not away from DM.

With the added benefit of doing so FOR the greater good. And thus with a clear head and heart!!

The scary thing is that unanswered question – how low can DM go? Desperation creates more madness.

Fortunately good does prevail — might take time, but it always does. Always.

    WH

    • WH,
One of the best safeguards we have is the basic good nature of beings. When they are as wack as what is being shown here, then they really aren’t all that skilled.

Like you’ve said, with clean hands and an ethical character, this tech and any, becomes so easy to use and as powerful as it can be. Indeed, it’s fun again.

  11. This should not surprise anyone. This is part of the “Overt Data Collection” cycle that OSA uses all the time against “enemies”.

It has been “Standard Operating Procedure” for years, even pre-dating DM.

This is the reason Anonymous adopted the wearing of masks. As a protest against this specific type of activity, as mandated by the “Scientology Scriptures”.

I do not know in what regard Jessie Prince is held in these parts, but his debriefs give yet another viewpoint in to how OSA and upper management used PI’s via attorneys to squash dissent and “shudder” critics “in to silence.”

    http://www.factnet.org/Scientology/jesse_tapes.html

It would be less of an odious practice IF there was a functioning Justice system within Scn.
Justice being defined as “what is equitable to all parties concerned.”

One key point LRH made about justice was that while he could hit hard to protect a group, he would always circle back around later and get the offender corrected.

Under the DM regime, it is all smash, no correction.

Oh yes, and suppressive types ALWAYS select the wrong target.

  12. Mike, Glad to see you talking, and contributing to the solution. My wife and I have seen no evidence recently that there is any op running on us. Do you know of any? is there any part time OSA informer that you know by name who was assigned to us? Thanks, Mike Henderson and Donna Shannon St. Pete Florida

  13. Marty, I really enjoyed your videos on “The Truth Rundown.”

And you and Mike are experiencing the best spiritual object lesson on earth. I am hopeful you will get the best wins of your life from it, because you really can get wins nobody else will ever know about.

Why? Because both you and Mike have dished this out and now are taking it. You have been duped by Milgrim’s abusive authority model and you have both been true believers. And now you are on the receiving end of cult abuse.

As a former true believer from another group, I can promise you that there is no better “session” to be in if you raise your confront. It’s one you eventually must “blow” to assert your freedom. But I think you know that you can only truly blow when you are at full power ethically.

And as you continue to get through this, you will realize how common this is. How deeply cult dynamics are woven into human behavior in many domains.

Scientology destroyed the Cult Awareness Network. It crushed the Lisa McPherson Trust. You guys were there for that. You know.

Wouldn’t it be great if the Independent Scientologists didn’t do a front group like Narconon, but rather used the principles of Study Tech to teach others how to overcome cult mind control as defined by Lipton and Hassan and other cult experts?

It would be a great introduction to The Communications Course. Just slap it right in front of “KSW.”

Make it a Calzone: Wrap the meat and cheese of 1970’s LRH tech in the “commentary dough” of Dr. Lifton and Hassan and heat and serve.

You can also provide running commentary about cult dynamics just like how liberal Christians insert modern thinking with the Bible.

Liberal Christians don’t change the Bible, they insert commentary like “Look folks, let’s not stone gay people to death anymore just because Moses says so.” Such framing lets people be religious without being weird.

And who knows? Maybe the old man meant this to be the object lesson all along …

    • Mind control and true believers in the hands of right wing christians cost my father’s marriage two 1/2 years ago. I’ve seen the damage when people go Jesus crazy. What was the group you were a member of?

      • I’m not a Scientologist, so my story doesn’t belong here.

I’m just cheering from the sidelines for you all to confront the B.I.T.E theory of mind control and keep what works in your tech.

“Free from B.I.T.E.! Free from B.I.T.E.! Go Team Indie!

        ((THE WAVE))

    • Marty,

I too enjoyed your recent videos on the SP times site and with Nightline. I think it took a lot of balls to stand up. I have only one question. Where did a California boy get that Philly accent?

  14. About Jesse Prince, Marty, did that happen with Diane happen to you? I mean the shooting and John and all that stuff that Jesse once mentioned? (Story is still on the Internet, if you want to verify.)

    Jim

    • The incident happened. But Jesse didn’t see it. It didn’t happen quite like he recounted it.

      • Jim raised an interesting issue, Marty. For years, we read nothing but Jesse’s statement about that event on the net. I know you are busy but would you mind to explain to us what really took place that day with John, Diane, and you?

How did you get over seeing something or being in the middle of something like that?

  15. A question for Mike and Marty:

As I understand it the CST holds the copyrights of the L. Ron Hubbard Library. If the C of S, a which is a different corp, goes down, does that leave DM in total control of that library? Are there any other board members in CST legally capable of acting? i.e. Does it benefit DM to take the C of S out?

    • Board members who are legally capable of acting are legally responsible to act.

It would be an excellent idea to track down the officeholders for each of the key organisations, plus the ownership/membership register.

  16. Tom, you are right, LRH did SAY that. But when did he actually DO that? In practice he just tried to bash his “enemies” with overt and covert dirty tricks. See Paulette Cooper’s story.

This is LRH command intention. DM is simply being on-source in his handling of Marty and Mike, just as they were both on-source when they ran their dirty ops on Ron’s “enemies”.

    • ‘Lionheart’, that’s a curious nickname. Are you a ‘crusader’ for something? Hmmmm?

    • LH you obviously don’t know the whole story or maybe you are pretending that you don’t because Ron had nothing to do with Operation Freakout or any such op.

Why can’t you accept the fact that the GO were straying off the reservation at that time?

Is it because it’s easier to blame Ron?

If you can find reliable documented proof that supports your conspiracy theory that Ron knew I’d sure like to see it !

      • How do you know that Hubbard had nothing to do with this operation?
It’s not “easier” to blame Ron, it is only self-evident to blame the leader of the organization, who is responsible for the operation.
You also blame David Miscavige, the current leader of CoS for everything bad that is currently happening in Scientology.

      • Anon, Ron was not “the Leader” of the GO, Jane Kember was.

So blaming Ron is simply a wrong target.

Also Ron never claimed to be the leader of Scientology, his post was at that time and still is Founder having resigned as ED Int in 1966.

On the other hand Mssr Miscavige claims to be the unrivaled leader of the Organization.

Most of this actions that OSA is carrying out can be directly linked to him, since he feels he is only one capable of directing them.

Sure Kurt Wiegand is the titular head of OSA but Miscavige is the one calling the shots.

I’m sure if you looked at the Merc traffic coming into OSA right now you’d find Miscavige’s finger prints all over them.

The story was completely different in the GO which was run directly by Kember, who tolerated no outside interference from the SO or even the EDs, who were supposed to be senior to them , in the Orgs in which her AGs were situated.

The GO was completely autonomous unlike OSA which is under SO.

  17. I wonder if he’s concerned about his activities being exposed because the information could threaten his ability to maintain his license?

I can’t imagine that PI’s are allowed to harrass and intimidate people.

  18. Well let’s just stake out Lebeau’s house, shall we? 😉

  19. Private investigators are literally a dime a dozen. It would obviously be much cheaper to simply call up someone locally and hire them short-term as needed, rather than pay the high cost of keeping a PI permanently on staff and moving him around all over the country. Keeping spies in rapid rotation also reduces suspicion.

But then, it seems this guy’s cover was blown many years ago. So why the hell do they still hang on to this ‘Lubow’ dude?

Assuming he is not a Scientologist — and die-hard Miscavige loyalist — I can think of only two possible reasons:

    1. He’s proven himself to be a rare P.I. who is very willing to break the law whenever it gets in the way.

    2. He already “knows too much” and keeping him on the payroll helps ensure he’ll keep his mouth shut — as his testimony could be very damaging to the COS.

    I suspect that both apply.

  20. Forgive me for interjecting a little levity here and being a little off-topic but all this spy stuff just reminded me of a joke…

A guy is driving around the back woods of Montana and he sees a sign in front of a broken down shanty-style house: ‘Talking Dog For Sale ‘ He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there.

    ‘You talk?’ he asks.

    ‘Yep,’ the Lab replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says ‘So, what’s your story?’
The Lab looks up and says, ‘Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA. In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping.’
‘I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running.. But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn’t getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals.’ ‘I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I’m just retired.’

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

    ‘Ten dollars,’ the guy says.

‘Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?’

‘Because he’s a liar. He never did any of that shit.

  21. While you’re discussing sleazebags, does anybody know what happened to ol’ Eugene Ingram?

  22. I’ve been seeing a number of “he pulled it in” type comments. How, exactly, does an innocent bystander pull it in? If I do something and then someone does something to me, that could be karma. If I do something and then somebody does something to my cousin, that’s not karma- that’s “wrong targetting”. And anyone who would say it was karma or that it was pulled in- well, they’d have to explain why the sins of the person would be visited on some OTHER party, right?

I’ve never ever been a fan of “this sins of the fathers are visited on the children” type thinking and I think that ANYONE who defends that is no better than OSA.

    • Hi Claire,

The following from HCO BULLETIN OF 20 MAY 1968 OVERT-MOTIVATOR SEQUENCE, may help explain this phenomenon:

      (begin fair use)

A MOTIVATOR is an aggressive or destructive act received by the person or one of the
      dynamics.
The viewpoint from which the act is viewed resolves whether the act is an overt or a motivator.
The reason it is called a “Motivator” is because it tends to prompt that one pays it back—it
      “motivates” a new overt.
When one has done something bad to someone or something one tends to believe it must have
      been “motivated”.
When one has received something bad, he also may tend to feel he must have done something to
      deserve it.
The above points are true. The actions and reactions of people on the subject are often very
      falsified.
People go about believing they were in an auto accident when in actual fact they caused one.
Also people may believe they caused an accident when they were only in one.
Some people, on hearing of a death, at once believe they must have killed the person even
      though they were far away.
Police in large cities have people turn up and confess to almost every murder as a routine.
One doesn’t have to be crazy to be subject to the Overt-Motivator sequence. It is not only used
on him continually by others, it also is a basic part of his own “case”.

      (end fair use)

      • I think the above is an example of not enough information or context. The following excerpt from HCOB 22 Dec 1960 O\W A LIMITED THEORY gives a better context, I believe, as to where the subject of O/W fits philosophically:
        (Begin fair use quote)

“Before I would permit you to believe that the overt-withhold mechanism was a total way of life, I would point out that it applies only to a strata of existence and that it stems from failures to help.

The theory that what you do to others will then happen to you is a punishment control mechanism peculiar to this universe. It derives from a deteriorated willingness to duplicate. It is the law of physics of Interaction—for every action there is an equal and contrary reaction.

“Love thy neighbour”, when it is no longer a willingness, is enforced by the theory of O-W. “Love thy neighbour” can exist only when help, control and communication are high. When all these go, then O-W comes into vogue as a method of enforcing peace.

O-W is a theory which sets in when aberration sets in. It is not a high natural law. It is junior to the various laws of Communication, Control and Help.

O-W can occur only when help has failed. Help is a co-joining of vectors of life. When two beings who have joined forces to help fail each other, only then does O-W come into existence.

The forces of two beings cannot come into dispute until after they have first joined. Thus there is no war like that seen between brothers or husband and wife.”
        (End fair use quote)

What is disingenuous to me about the “they must have pulled it in” taunts is that on OT II, LRH mapped out other factors underlying the O\W sequence. (I can not speak to the issue of his knowing about that when this issue was written in 1960.)

So if one accepts this expanded understanding of the human mindscape, then it becomes fairly obvious that those who gloat over the “he pulled it in” mantra A) are below Help; and B) not flat on OT II. Or they have less than helpful intentions, hidden or otherwise.

I know this is rather long winded, but in short, yes Claire, I agree with you.

    • Claire,
You should get a hold of WH, who has posted on this blog, and go over this area from a different perspective. Compare what you learn there with such things as RJ’s reference. You might even read John Donne’s famous poem. Search ‘no man is an island’. Compare the data, compare it to life. There is of course this irreducibly minimized expression that has limited and relative truth, sometimes, ‘he pulled it in’. This is a ‘justification’ more times than not and that’s also covered in Scn.

    • Hi Claire. The book “thinking and Destiny” written by Harold W. Percival and published in 1950 offers a very credible teaching as to how and why those events happen as they do. Its off topic mostly to this blog so I will only offer the reference. I am sure you would find his explanations facinating. I believe the book is online at the Word Foundation as well.

  23. I love how each move OSA/DM makes it another step towards their own undoing.

  24. Makes sense to me, RJ. They’re motivating. But it appears that CofS aren’t the only ones doing so. Sigh. It’s sad. It’s very sad.

    • Claire,
Sad? Yes, also, they are themselves batting at umiportant dust motes in confusion. They are confused because they are beneath an intolerable burden, they attempt to solve by smacking at what they consider is the source. Since it’s a wrong target, and it doesn’t resolve, they mire in more deeply.

From another perspective, when you truly understand the mechanics involved here, you achieve a higher level of ability to do something about it. With that knowledge, one is more able to deal with it, and it’s no longer a question of who’s ‘pulling it in’ but an issue of being able to be responsible for handling the scene.

It’s a much better place to be.

  25. Mike’s response shows how well adjusted someone is when applying the tech in a positive way. Someone mentioned that it’s almost like DM is TRYING to destroy Scientology. To me that brings to mind how all the whistleblowers had to get sec checked and answer questions like “Are you trying to covertly destroy Scientology? Do you have counterintentions? etc.” Someone needs to sec check DM and put the question to him.

  26. BTW, where is Wayne McShane? He was DM’s deputy? Is there any chance he could take over?
What kind of person is McShane?

  27. Mike – you can always refer Lubow to his “friends” in Las Vegas. He should be thankful there wasn’t a photo of him partying with his mistress while he wife was in Calif raising the kids.

I’m not trying to be an “armchair lawyer”, but Lubow contacting Mr. Rinder’s girlfriend is illegal. It’s unsolicited communication intended to disrupt her peace. I hope it’s documented and someone files charges or TRO. This behavior is unacceptable.

  30. Hopefully he loses a lot of work because you know who he is now.

  31. Thanks, guys, I will do that.

  32. RJ said:

If you can find reliable documented proof that supports your conspiracy theory that Ron knew I’d sure like to see it !”

RJ, the problem with what you wrote is that your argument simply falls on the wrong side of Occam’s Razor for many. Specifically, anyone who was in the SO, who read the majority of available Flag orders written by LRH, and particularly anyone who had access to and read R/Consultant advices. Especially the GO advices. Based on the aspects of your own biography that you’ve revealed thus far, I’m aware that you are not one of those people.

I am, and I can assure you that it is FAR more believable that LRH knew about, say, Snow White, for example, than that he did not. It certainly followed his views on intelligence as laid out in numerous FOs and advices. Given the fact that Mary Sue was the Controller (you only mentioned Kember – leaving out this point about Mary Sue makes your paradigm more than a little flawed) and taking into account his management style as a whole, the idea that he WOULDN’T have known is EXTREMELY hard to believe. LRH kept his finger on the pulse, and again, this is borne out heavily in the reams of advices over the years. There are also accounts (anecdotal but from more than one source) about the regular and detailed correspondence and meetings between LRH and MSH.

But let’s take an example you would know about – RJ 68. LRH speaks in there of an international conspiracy to destroy Scientology. Assuming (as you do) that Ron was a genuine believer in Scientology – do you really think he’d hesitate to do whatever was needed if he thought the destruction of the church by government forces was either possible or imminent? Again, to say ‘no’ defies logic. The things occurring during the time period leading up to Snow White could arguably have put him in this mindset.

Just trying to provide some perspective for you on why the view you attacked could exist. Particularly when that view comes from people that have a LOT more information on the subject than you do.

I think we can have a higher level of discourse on this, that’s all I’m saying.

  33. Welcome to the other side of the fence, sir.

Here’s a point of light for you: Considering your experience with conducting this sort of behavior on behalf of CoS in the past, you should be able to recognize and counter most if not all of their tactics.

Another plus: Get the media on this. Its a double story: “I know what they’re doing, because I used to do this for them.” should grab their attention. I’d love to see them trying to ask Davis about the allegedly canceled Fair Game policy. With some luck, we may get yet another interview walkout.

If there’s one thing Scientology never seems to be able to handle or understand – it is the Streisand Effect. Use it.
